The National Institute of Professional Engineers and Scientists (À¶Ý®Ö±²¥), in partnership with Prof. Yun-Fei Fu of Shandong University of Science and Technology, proudly announces a ₦1,000,000 Scholarship Program for aspiring engineers, scientists, medical doctors, pharmacists, and students pursuing related fields of study. This initiative reflects our commitment to nurturing talent and advancing inclusivity in engineering, science, and related professions worldwide.
Scholarship Details:
- Total Scholarship Amount: ₦1,000,000
- Number of Awards: 5
- Amount per Recipient: ₦200,000
- Duration: One academic year
Eligibility:
- Must be currently enrolled in an accredited higher institution.
- Studying science or engineering-related courses.
- Open to students in 100-level and above.
- Mandatory: Applicants must complete at least two free À¶Ý®Ö±²¥ online course and explain the skills learned in their personal statement.
Priority Consideration:
À¶Ý®Ö±²¥ student members will be given priority in the selection process. Non-members are encouraged to join À¶Ý®Ö±²¥ to enhance their chances of selection.
How to Complete the Free À¶Ý®Ö±²¥ Course:
As part of the application process, you are required to enroll in and complete one of À¶Ý®Ö±²¥’s free online courses. These courses are designed to develop practical skills and creative thinking. Upon completing the course, you will receive a certificate of completion, which you must reference in your personal statement.
Application Process:
The application process is in 3 stages as follows:
- Register on the À¶Ý®Ö±²¥ website as a student member (for non-members)
- Complete a free À¶Ý®Ö±²¥ online course of your choice .
- Submit your personal statement (500-750 words), explaining the skills you learned from the course and how they apply to your academic or career goals here. NB. Provide proof of enrollment and student ID and Include your À¶Ý®Ö±²¥ membership number (if applicable).

Personal Statement Guidelines:
Your personal statement should cover:
- Your background and educational journey.
- Your passion for engineering, science or related field.
- Academic and extracurricular achievements.
- Challenges you’ve overcome.
- Career goals and alignment with À¶Ý®Ö±²¥’s mission.
- Skills gained from the À¶Ý®Ö±²¥ course: Describe the skills you learned from the free À¶Ý®Ö±²¥ courses and how they contribute to your academic or career development.
Selection Criteria:
Candidates will be evaluated based on:
- À¶Ý®Ö±²¥ student membership status.
- Quality and content of the personal statement.
- Demonstrated passion for the skills
- Completion of two À¶Ý®Ö±²¥ courses and explanation of learned skills.
- Alignment with À¶Ý®Ö±²¥ values and mission.
Important Dates:

- Application Deadline: June 30, 2026
- Final Selection: July 31, 2026
Additional Information:
- Successful applicants will be expected to participate in À¶Ý®Ö±²¥ events and mentorship programs.
- The scholarship is a one-time award for the academic year 2025/2026.
